I have been working as a natural practitioner for ten years.
I first became interested in the healing art of Thai massage whilst living and travelling in south-east asia - completing my studies in 1997 at the Institute of Thai Massage in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
This heightened interest in the natural healing of mind, body and spirit led me to discover reflexology. After completing my practitioner course at Westminster College in 1999, I became a member of the Association of Reflexologists.
In 2001 I was initiated to Reiki Master level in the Usui System of Natural Healing at Satya Reiki Communication in Pune, India. Following on from this my experience as a natural practitioner deepened considerably when I worked as a full-time complementary therapist at St. Luke's Hospice, Plymouth.
I have been practicing yoga and meditation for over twelve years.

What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a therapy where pressure is applied to reflex points on the feet. It is based on the principle that these reflex points are related to the internal organs and glands, and are laid out in the same arrangement as that in the physical body. Pressure on a reflex point can therefore affect these structures. This treatment helps to stimulate the normal functions of the organ involved (for instance, secretion of a hormone or digestive enzyme), and thus aids self-healing, bringing about physical and mental well-being.
What is Thai Massage?
A full-body massage performed fully clothed on a mat on the floor. This allows for the most effective use of the practitioner's body weight rather than muscular force for the transmission of pressure, force, or energy. This creates a highly theraputic effect.
The massage primarily consists of pressure on the energy lines and pressure points, plus a large variety of stretching movements. The energy lines in Thai massage called "Sen" are reminiscent of meridians of Chinese acupuncture.
Pressure is exerted on the Sen lines and pressure points with the palms of the hands, thumbs, and feet. Combined with the stretching movements, the treatment affects the entire body. It increases flexibility, relaxes both deep and superficial tension, and helps the body's natural energy to flow more freely.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese word which in the first syllable Rei, means spirit, aura, or subtle energy. The second syllable, Ki, means energy or power.
Reiki is a method of transferring universal life-giving energy for the harmony of body, mind and soul. It addresses both the cause and effect of illness and is transferred by gently placing the hands on the body.
Reiki is universal unconditional love. The experience in both receiving and gaining the energy can be one of deep relaxation and inner peace. You cannot receive too much Reiki. It does not intrude upon a person, and is the perfect compliment to allopathic medicine, and all forms of natural healing.
